A zine explores capital ‘X’ in life

The shape of the letter “X” is captivating. The way two long lines intersect creates a visually striking and dynamic form, and this could lead to interesting visual solutions. I photographed 40 uppercase X shapes found in my daily life, then translated them into my own interpretations.
I chose purple as the primary color, and to make it stand out even more, I printed the interior spreads on tinted gray paper. To create an immersive first impression, the book cover is cut in the shape of an X, so that the opening reveals and flows naturally into the interior pages. For the binding, purple thread and beads are used.
